SEL5018 or (upcoming) SEL3518?

I have the 50 f1.8 and I love it. It's my most used lens. It's really comfortable and easy to use handheld. I think anybody would enjoy it and not regret it.

Why not get the 50 now and save up for the 35. Even if it takes awhile to save, by that time, you will have a better idea of the 35's quality and it will have come down in price.

Now I don't do video, so I can't speak to that.
