Using USB3 Graphic Adapters

Hi,

This is the first time I have posted on this forum. I am hoping someone may be able to give me some advice.

I have a Sony vaio S laptop. The graphics card in this laptop has a maximum resolution of 1600 x 900. I have a Dell monitor 2410 which I would like to attach to the laptop for Photoshop work. The Dell requires a resolution of 1920 x 1200.

Would one of the new USB3 graphics adapters (Which have high res.) enable me to run the attached monitor at its native resolution.
