I agree. The nice thing about Pogue's Missing Manuals is that they are easy to read, but also technically solid and go into some depth.

David Pogue's "Missing Manuals" are superior. Get the Missing Manual for Mountain Lion. There is also an edition for "switchers" that is helpful for making the transition from Windows to Macs. Since Pogue uses and writes books for both platforms the info is top-notch. But if you are reasonably computer-savvy and don't need much help moving data or making the OS transition the Mountain Lion book is the way to go.
