I quit selling on Ebay after they made paypal mandatory for sellers. Paypal will let the seller claim the merchandise was significantly not as described and not only keep the goods, but also get a full refund from your account.

Law enforcement will tell you it's a civil matter and won't get involved.

I've been selling my used gear on Amazon and not only do I get more $$$, but I also have yet to get burned by a buyer.
