Shall I believe in the tests?

I am intending to buy a small/medium-priced m4/3 camera and still couldn't decide between Panasonic GX1 and Olympus E-PL3. Although newer and with more features, Pany's performance (as far as resolution/sharpness is concerned) seems to be inferior to E-PL3, if we consider the JPEG comparative analyses both shown by Imaging Resources and DPreview:
IR COMPAROMETER – e.g, see label in fiddler's beer bottle at any ISO
(GX1 and E-PL3 using the same Olympus 50mm/2.0 lens)
DPR STUDIO-SCENE COMPARISON – e.g, see queen's face at any ISO
(I couldn't discover if both cameras used the same lens)
Shall I accept the results of such comparisons as being fair enough and, since sharpness is my primary concern, buy an E-PL3? I would appreciate your comments on this subject.
