Canon S100 returns for repair

The serial number range for affected S100s "Lens Error" message appears to be in the multiple thousands of units, maybe even hundreds of thousands.

Does someone know how many cameras have actually been returned & repaired? Is that data available? Perhaps from some "insider" who would be willing to give that info out?

Just a thought: My S100 hasn't broken as yet, but I know it will at a most critical moment, of course.

Thus I carry a backup......but I don't want to!
