S100 after 2nd repair

The fact that the S100 problem was so wide spread wasn't immediately apparent. My camera got the lens error seven months after I owned it.

I hVE been an early adopter of many Canon compact cameras that never had problems (eg. SD700, SD890 and S90, all of which I still own). So I'm hesitant to complain too loudly about the first repair, though make no excuses for Canon not to fix it right the first time!!

In my heart of hearts, I can't help but believe the widespread problems with early model S100s are related to the disruptions caused by the March 2011, earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan.

I've become more hesitant of buying a newly introduced camera than an upgraded model.
