Nikon needs a 400mm f/4 VR...

The only lens Canon has that's had me consider using Canon is their excellent 400mm f/4. It's More than 2 lbs. lighter than Nikon's 300mm 2.8, and a great handheld lens for birding and nature. I have a feeling we'll see an updated 300mm f/4, but if they were to come out with a 400mm f/4 VR in the $6000 range! and can keep it under 4.5 lbs, I would pick it up in a heartbeat.
Nikon have an f/4 in 300, 500 and 600...I think a 400,m makes sense...at least for me.
