Who needs a camera when a ball point pen can do this?

I find these images created using ordinary ball point pens incredible.

However, I am not sure what the point of all the many hours the artist, Samual Silva,(no pun intended) puts into his hobby, a simple point a shoot would create a very similar image in a matter of seconds.
