9/2/2012 Weekly landscape show and tell

This is along hwy 395 in north east California. The Owens valley is over 100 miles long, with the white mountains on one side and the sierra's on the other. I was driving thru in the morning. All these are the eastern sierra's. I didn't try any of the other side of the valley. I would have been shooting into the sun.

These mountains are a lot higher than they appear in my pictures. Always struggle with composition.

PS Yosemite NP is on the other side of those peaks.

Yeah, I wondered about that. I processed these on my laptop.
