This is nonsense . Anyone who looks at the X-Trans sensor can see that it is made up of a repeating pattern of RGB. In other worse, if you see one unit (pixel) of the sensor, you can "draw" the whole sensor, over and over and over again. If the sensor were truly random, you would not know what the next unit would look like. The X-Trans is not at all random, it just has a different layout than the Bayer pattern.

Randomness is not necessarily absolute. Randomness or degree of disorder is quantized in entropy.

The entropy (S) of an X Trans is greater than that of a Bayer array according to Boltzmann's Equation:

S =k ln Ω

where,

k = Boltzmann constant, ( not necessary for this calculation as pixels do not have any kinetic energy, per se; but, you can throw it in, if you want ...);

Ω = Wahrscheinlichkeit , measure of randomness or degree of disorder; the number of ways RGB pixels are arranged within an array; the greater the entropy, the greater randomness or degree of disorder.
