Just curious as to what you think would be better in a say Nikon or Canon DSLR?

Faster AF? High ISO? Controls? Or are you thinking of the lenses.

I'm not saying it wouldn't have been better, but you also get a lot of stuff you don't really need as they have to sell features when the sensor does only small incremental improvements (perhaps except the D800 sensor).

My biggest annoyance with my SD15 is that it does back/front focus. I need to fix this, but haven't had the time yet.
