Like other commentators it looks like an oil drop to me.

I've cleaned these with a Sensor Klear, sensor brushes tend to smear them. You can also Google Copperhill for wet cleaning options.

As with all of these caution is advised as it is easy to damage the sensor if you are ham fisted.

However, the most useful comment I'd make is that Canon in the UK have cleaned sensors of new cameras for me for free (for the first time). You might like to see if that's approach is valid where you are.
