Problems in the sky

If you used View NX 2 (the free raw developer that ships with the D800) the resulting output is 8 bits, even when you specify 14-bit output. This is a bug in View NX 2 and Nikon hasn't fixed it yet. Capture NX 2 works properly. You can download a free trial version of Capture NX 2 from Nikon's site to see if this fixes the issue. If so, complain to Nikon. I did.
