Bigma and the K5

ANYONE with older BIGMA and K5/Kx/Kr/K30

Question: Please, does this Sigma EX 50-500 APO DG (

) work with contrast detect AF?

I had some problems with Sigma EX 70-200/2.8 HSM on K-5 - it refused to lock on target until lens firmware upgrade was done.. but this old Bigma is screw driven, so it might work... but I'm not sure and I have chance to buy used one for fair price.

Anyone tried this combination?
