50 sec + exposures at ISO 3200 in cold weather with D7000 - hows the noise?
Sep 7, 2012

I am planning to try some 50-100 seconds exposures with the D7000, at ISO 3200.
Ambient temperature expected to be around 3-4 degree C, or lower.

Has anybody done such long exposures at high ISO? If you do not use dark frame substraction in camera, what kind of noise profile to expect. Is there any amp glow? How are the hot pixels?

Samples would be helpful, and also the result after PP
