RAID 1 setup suggestions

Thanks for the replies.

I am looking for a system where I can have as close to 100% up time as possible, hence my thought of two drives. A couple of minutes to remove a dead drive and reboot is my goal.

I currently run an Acronis backup to an external 2Tb USB drive every night but restoring from this takes a few hours.

I didn't realise the implications of TRIM and dealing with this will probably dictate my solution.
