Advice on moving from 50D to 7D

Hi All, I currently have a few different cameras including a 50D, G10 and Lumix FZ150.

I wanted to know people's experiences or opinions in moving from the 50D to 7D. With the current promotions, $1,300+ seems like a great deal. I just wasn't sure how big a jump it is from a results and experience perspective. In terms of lenses, I have a Canon 17-40L and 18-200 Sigma.

So the question is, stay with the 50D, buy the 7D or wait for a potential 70D. (I won't be able to afford the eventual 8D).
Any thoughts would be great.
