35MM Film Camera Question

I am probably overlooking something, but is there a forum dedicated to film cameras and shooting? I purchased a great film camera for my daughter's high school photography class and would like to use it myself.

Is there now a way to replace the old fashion way of having the film developed and photographs printed via scanning the negatives?

Sorry for these newbie questions, but it's beeen 15 years, at least, since I've shot with film.
