Current D800/E Serials?

Well, the notes above make me think that both vendors are shipping product well behind the current production.

I've decided to get refunds rather than spending more time, possibly fruitlessly, with new cameras that I will have to test yet again.

Hopefully sometime soon others will regularly post here that all new D800/E cameras don't have the left AF issue and/or that Nikon has a reliable repair.

I'm willing to wait it out a little while becuase the promise of the D800/E seems so compelling.

If Nikon still can't get it right, then I'll need to find an alternative. I hope it won't come to that.
