Olympus 75mm - v's others
|
I just yesterday purchased the Olympus 75mm, after much consideration, and many in-store trials. After one day of shooting about the neighbourhood, I can't say I'm disappointed.
I have the 45mm, and subjectively rank the IQ as 'noticeably better'.
I understand it's imposible to rank lenses, given that each has a different focal length and build quality, etc that renders them suitable for different purposes. Each of you live with the flaws of your favourite lens, because of the positive characteristics that it offers.
My question is, for those of you with experience or ownership with the 75mm and other lenses, is how do you think it compares with 43 SHG, Voigtlander and other lenses. I have no experience with these but find it hard that there would be a way to extract much more from a lens. I understand most SHG lens are zooms, and I know there are tables and charts I can go read. But subjectively speaking, can anybody draw some comparisons?
My biggest problem with this lens is that it makes me sad there is not yet a 17.5 (35mm eq) version, for which I'd gladly pay an equivalent price.
