RX100 and Illustration Mode = Incredible!!

The New Illustration mode is one of the coolest new software features I've seen in a long time. I have no idea how Sony got this effect to look good, as it seems hand draw almost. It seams to me like the camera is using scene recognition technology to figure out what brush stroke to apply where.

Photoshop can't do anything like this automatically. Neither can Painter X. So why would Sony give this feature away for free?? Seems like they would add it to the new PlayMemories Camera and Mobile Apps and allow us to download it for the new Nex cameras, or perhaps is coming standard?? We shall see.
