Sure, I can create images in Photoshop with super-saturated colours way outside sRGB, and they look very different on the two monitors. But very highly saturated colours aren't very common in nature.

Usually not, but some children dresses, plastic toys and greenish leaves have odd hues and saturations which take advantage of a bigger than sRGB colorspace.
