K5 slow RAW write

I never timed it when it was new, but I feel like my K5 is getting slower to recover from a RAW burst. If I shoot a three-frame bracket, it's now 8 seconds before the orange light goes out and playback button allows viewing of all three frames without the hourglass icon.

The review on this site says 18 sec to recover from a 24-frame RAW burst, and I just timed it at 45 sec until the orange light extinguishes and playback works fully.

I format my cards, rather than just 'delete all'. I'm using Sandisk Ultra 30Mb/sec SDHC 8Mb.

Just upgraded to firmware 1.13 and that makes no difference.

Is this normal speed?
