Question on NIkon 1 10mm F2.8 Pancake lens

As I currently own the twin lens kit of 10-30 and 30-110, I was considering the merits of investing in the Nikon 10mm F2.8 prime for the 1 series.
Having read a little on it, I'm a little unsure as to whether or not it's worth the expenditure and would welcome comments from those that have it and could compare to the 10-30.
As I see it, I'll gain a slightly smaller lens (although the 10-30 closed is hardly big) and 2/3's of a stop difference wide open (F2.8 vs F3.5). However with the 10-30 having VR and and the prime not, is this additional speed worth it, and is the lens any sharper than the already excellent 10-30 ?
Thanks.
