Moon, Nex-7, Sigma 150-500, handheld

September moon shines over the trees and is a challenge for me. The first problem is that the moon is surprisingly bright and the sky very black. Automatic settings do not work so one needs to go to the manual settings.

Nex-7 makes it easy to adjust the shutter speed so that the image becomes dark enough to show also the moon surface details. With high shutter speed it is quite possible to get sharp results even without a stand.
