Setting Up an Elinchrom-based Studio (plus general questions)

Looking for a bit of advice from the wise.
I have:
an Elinchrom Ranger Quadra kit (A heads)
a 700m (23") Elinchrom Softlite beauty dish
a Lastolite 60cm softbox with grid
backdrop stands and white paper roll
a room measuring approx 10m (32') x 5m (15') with a 2.8m (9') ceiling.
several Canon speedlights, including 2 600EX RTs
My plan is to buy, over time, an Elinchrom BXRi 500 To Go kit and some softboxes such as a largish Octa and Strip Banks.
I hope to use the Quadra heads for hair/background lights etc (I have a 10m extension cord and an adaptor for use with bigger boxes).
I mainly want to shoot:
families
couples
full-length females
I've read Sailor Blue's excellent Home Studio guide.
I'm concerned that the 500w heads may be too powerful for the space, particularly at apertures like 1.2 to 2.8, although I hope the Quadra heads will come in handy here.
Am I on the right track? Any thoughts?
