These are all shot into bright light and the image is affected by flare. I'll bet the darker band is a part of the image that lacks the flare present in the rest of the image. The fact that the band it is horizontal might mean the flare is entering the camera at an oblique angle that is partly shadowed by the mirror box.

Try turning the camera upside down and taking an identical photo. I'll bet the shadow will be at the top again. That is, it will be in a fixed position relative to the light source, and not rotate with the camera and lens. This would seem to rule out a hardware problem (other than susceptibility to flare).

Also, try stopping down the lens significantly more than your present examples. My guess is the problem will disappear.
