Lightmeters - which is best?

Im looking for a good reliable lightmeter for reasonable price. I dont need anything special just a basic lightmeter that tells me the exposure time needed with a certain aperture and vice versa. Does anyone have any thoughts on this. I don't want to spend too much, not above $300 but I will if I have to.
any thoughts appreciated - cheers.
