Nikon 1 for skiing action shots

I've been looking for a relatively compact solution for action skiing shots - compact enough to carry on the rucksack belt (in a soft case), but with good AF tracking.

Looks like the V1 (plus 30-110 mm lens) could work. One important thing: can anyone tell me if in burst mode I can follow the moving target on the LCD or EVF without them freezing the previous shot? (which would make it impossible to follow a moving skier with a close crop)
