Well, if the sensor is the same size as on X10 and it's 25-100mm with f/1.8 on the wide end, you can't seriously expect the camera to be any smaller than that. As to the mechanical quality of the lens, I haven't heard any complaints from X10 users or Olympus m43 users of collapsible lenses. Mechanical zoom on a compact is something that I really wan't to see, as I've owned a dozen compacts and the zoom-by-wire finger zoom bugs me every time.
