When hybrid autofocus gets beyond its babyhood, the tide will turn. CDAF sharpness at PDAF speed, including tracking. DSLR’s would be less attractive.

If we see the day that cameras have curved sensors to enable the use of symmetric lenses at small back focus distances, CA, AA-filters, soft corners, and wide angle distortion would disappear (some completely, some nearly) and short-focus lenses would become really small, good, and cheap. Image quality would jump.

From that day mirrorless would leave DSLR’s in the dust. By then EVF’s and the ergonomics of small bodies ought to have matured. The architecture – controls, menu, body shape, ports, etc – of the new breed will develop by evolution.

It will be one of the idiosyncratic camera-makers – Sony, Fuji, etc – or perhaps Leica but I don’t think so; not the grey suits of Canon or Nikon.
