Laptop screen buying help

So it seems that the Retina MBP is still the better solution.

I just wondered whether the 95% gamut would be comparable to the Retina MBP regardless of the lesser resolution that the Windows laptop has?

I was aware of the soldered memory, so that wasn't a problem for me, it was the upgrade price to 512gb. I'm really unsure whether 256gb will be suitable for my needs. I'm finding the price of the RMBP difficult to justify, with such a small hard drive.

Maybe I should look at a desktop solution with an external monitor or an iMAC. I'm just hoping that gets a refresh soon.
