CX mount could be used for APS-C sensored ML

In another thread I raised this idea: Nikon could possibly use the CX mount for a ML APS-C.

The point is that the diameter of sensor is much larger than needed for the small sensor in the 1 series:

Compare that to ASP-C and FF withh F-mount:

FF:

APS-C:

The CX mount's internal diameter is 40mm, against 45mm for the F-mount. So not that much less. Here is how an APS-C sensor would look inside the V1:
