totally not the same to cropping after, the metering will be take the cropped image that now has much more or the subject in the frame. which mean much better metering on the subject. So you may get to the computer have and blow highlight and under exposed darks had ou expected to just do a huge crop later.

Great shots, nice use of this very cool feature.
