Price of Canon 24-70 L mk I

Its a joke. People are now asking more for a used one than they were selling for new just a few months ago. Its all about supply and demand. I suppose if I were selling one right now I would be happy, but I am not. I think Canon is doing a dis-service to its customers by discontinuing the old model way before the new one is even available. They are not the only ones though.

I guess you just need to know when to buy...as soon as the new ones are readily available, the old version prices will drop back down to sanity.
