Canon Patent for new 28-135 IS

I if a new 28-135 IS comes out hopefully it will be better than the original. I once owned a copy of the original and sold it. Worst Canon lens I ever owned IQ wise. Maybe I just got a bad copy. Anyway, I like the range. Just hope it is at least equal to the 18-135 in IQ.
