Surfers Paradise pano with EM5
Aug 31, 2012

The Olympus performs well for cityscapes. Not shot Raw so perhaps the sky could have been improved. Used the 12-60 for the photos. Handheld 180 degree view of this famous beach. The local council was shifting sand after a storm so the beach was roped off. Lots of guys standing around getting paid to do nothing that day. Great view of Surfers early in the morning. The tall building is the recently completed Soul Building with the new Hilton Hotel to the right of it. The older Q1 green tower to the left is actually taller. Both are residential towers and the Gold Coast isn't too concerned about tall buildings casting shadows on the beach. In Sydney they have rules that don't allow such tall buildings on our beaches.

There is a larger photo at Smugmug.
