40mm f/2.8 vs 35mm f/2

Hi people.

New question.

For a crop sensor camera (60D or 7D) which lens is better.

• • canon 40mm f/2.8

• • canon 35mm f/2

Well the 5mm diferrence between the two, means in fact 8mm in reality(due to crop factor).

To use one of those lens most of the time mounted, should it be a problem?

The 40mm has a better quality ( MTF ) but the 35mm is also a good one and i think the 5mm less worth the old quality.

Seems that the 40mm has some issues, i think.
