Beyond that, I don't think that Sony did much in terms of publicizing this feature but simply hasn't mentioned any sync speed limitations in its documentation.
Because it's pretty common for compacts to sync flash at any speed due to their absence of focal plane shutter. That's also one big plus for the RX100. For example, a small m43 camera is usually very limited at 1/160s flash sync.
