Unlikely, the 1D was a compromise made due to the challenges of making a full frame sensor. It's successors were due to Canon not being able to make a full frame body fast enough. Now that's no longer the case I think Canon will be glad to get rid of it and no longer have to make three different sized sensors with three different sized shutters, three different sized mirrors, three different sized focus screens, three different size pentaprisms etc.

What they ought to do instead is make a pro weather sealed APS-C body for wildlife and sports photographers.
