Question about 5D mkIII AF Area Mode and AF Case for airshows

Hi,

I'm going to shoot a couple of airshows in the near future. One full size airshow, and one model jets.
On my 7D I got the best results using AF point expansion.

Have anybody tried to use 61-point automatic selection when shooting airshows with the 5D3?
What are your preferred AF area selections?

One more question; What AF Case would be the best for this use? I'm thinking either Case 1 or 2.

I will use a 100-400 and a 70-200 mk2 for these airshows.
