Classroom Digital Cameras for Students

I'm looking for recommendations for a current, simple to use camera, point and shoot style, to use in a still photo class(s). The students are between 3rd and 12th grades. Reasonably inexpensive yet durable enough to handle kids and young adult activity level. I will buy a dozen of them. Budget is not yet set, may be funded by a grant. I welcome any and all ideas.
