FZ200 RAW profile - how to process in Lightroom?

In one of these threads somewhere, someone says you can use a text editor to load up a photo and alter the bit which reads "FZ200" to "FZ150" and then Adobe software will work. I think that related to Photoshop rather than Lightroom, but you'd hope they work similarly.

That's a lot of hassle though, and editing files like that could lead to unintended consequences.

For the time being you could try using Picasa for the RAW files, but as a recent convert to Lightroom 4 myself I realise that's not much of a solution. I guess the thing to do is save both RAW and jpg (I'm assuming that's an option), and revisit the shots you like most later on.
