Cheap extension tubes without the slop?
Aug 27, 2012

I´ve got a set of cheap extension tubes for Canon EOS (the kind that has a bayonet mount at either end but the tubes interconnect with threads) that is way too sloppy at the lens end.

I also have various cheap adapters (M42-to-EOS, Olympus-to-EOS and Filter-thread-to-EOS) that fit both the camera and the lens very well, so obviously the required precision is within reach at the lower price-points, at least for some of the bayonet mount products.

My question is: has anyone recently bought a set of EOS extension tubes on ebay which give a really good fit at both ends?

(I´m interested in both AF and non-AF extension tubes.)

BR,

David
