Basically, what I was trying to say is that a portrait picture taken at the wide end (28 mm - 10.4 ) is sharper than the same portrait picture taken at the telephoto end of an RX100 (100 mm - 37.1).

Yet, it would make more sense to take a portrait picture at 100 mm (A 5.6) in order to keep a comfortable distance between the subject and the photographer...

I am referring to IQ (sharpness of the eyes of the subject when enlarged to a 12 x 18 inch and printed on paper....
