Poor performance of Lightroom 4.1 compared with 3.6

quite staggered that DP review hasn't unearthed this as news issue and is not yet asking awkward but vital questions of Adobe ?

we are having to stay go back to using 3.6 as 4.1 is a slug for production
need to know when Adobe are going to fix this ...

particularly before you upgrade
