Nikon d200 firmware update problem - Please help!

Nikon has the camera and unfortunately the board will need to be replaced.

Only paid equivalent of $500-00 for the camera in mint condition with 2000 actuations, and repair will cost $400-00.

So be warned, be very careful of doing firmware updates. I have done a lot in the past, but this is the first time I have left the USB cable plugged into the camera. That was my mistake as I bumped the cable which the camera saw as me unplugging it.
