X-rite i1Display Pro for Windows 8?

Both my machines currently are running Win7 64bit. I am thinking about buying i1Display Pro but not sure how things will pan out with regard to Win8.
I mean I don't want the i1Display Pro to be unusable on Win8 as I might eventually upgrade to it. Do you think X-rite will provide an update for it to be compatible with Win8 or launch a completely new model?
Maybe I should wait before spending the money? Any opinion?
