Why not adapter? SONY has already made PDAF enabled adapter for NEX that allows use of a-lens.
I am not against an adaptor (in fact I would like one for my E-M5 and 4/3 SLR lenses) and I have no reason to think it is not possible (any Sony patents would probably just require a different approach to the goal rather than preventing it entirely.)
I am just saying that the comments from Olympus are about a camera body that provides good AF, not an adaptor.
